Each month we hand-select beans from the best roasters in Houston and send them to your door. Bags are between 10-12 oz (300-350g) unless otherwise noted.
Each delivery includes a curation of the city's best locally-roasted coffees tasting notes and brewing tips unique to each bag a behind-the-scenes look at each roaster, the beans, and the process that was used to bring you the perfect cup.
Do you offer espresso or dark roasts?
Short answer: No
Long Answer: While some of our beans may work for espresso brewing, our beans are primarily on the medium end of the spectrum. This is because (a) this is the primary roast offered by most of the local roasters, and (b) a medium roast allows the actual flavors of the beans to shine through without being overwhelmed by the deeper toasty notes that develop in darker roast. Are we opinionated about it? You betcha.
If you haven’t tried lighter roasts before, we encourage you to give it a shot. You will taste brighter, fruitier, or more floral notes than you experience with darker roasts. The processing method of the beans also becomes more important in developing the final flavor of the brew, so we’ll be sure to call out any interesting tasting notes each month.
